Christina Aguilera has her hands full balancing motherhood and her busy schedule, and her kids keep her on her toes in the sweetest ways.
The superstar, who shares son Max Liron and daughter Summer Rain with fiancé Matt Rutler, opened up about family life during her recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, as revealed in a preview clip, per PEOPLE Magazine.
She revealed that she and her eldest have officially entered a new chapter and are now on the hunt for college.
The pop star shared that she and Max are currently “looking at colleges,” admitting, “time flies, it really does.”
Aguilera further revealed that despite their educational pursuits, music remains her and Max’s favorite bond.
On the other hand, her younger child, 10-year-old Summer, is also beginning to show strong creative instincts of her own.
“She’s such an artist, she paints, she draws, she makes beautiful masks and she’s just so creative, but she’s definitely her own thing,” Aguilera told Hudson.
The singer said she never pushes her children in a certain direction, but Summer is obviously interested in acting.
“She’s had a few lessons,” Aguilera noted.
Despite having a superstar mom, Summer prefers Aguilera in her makeup-free mode offstage, and she makes that preference very clear.
“So I’m done shooting, Summer says, ‘Can you take that off now? I just want to be fun,'” Aguilera shared with a laugh.
She added that her daughter loves her natural freckles and often asks if she will ever have freckles herself.
“She is the number one mom fan!” she joked.
