Christine Taylor recently reflected on her costume choice Hey dude and what it felt like when she heard it ended.
For those who don’t know, the 54-year-old American actress played Melody Hanson in the Western comedy series created by Dee LaDuke, which first aired on Nickelodeon in 1989 and ended after five seasons in 1991.
At the Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, Arizona, Taylor recently reunited with costar David Lascher and others from the show, marking the first time the Hey dude cast came back to the set together.
They also held a livestream event and during a question and answer session with fans, someone asked if she had donned the outfit from her personal wardrobe in the penultimate episode of the show titled ‘Double Date’.
In response to the question, Taylor said with a laugh, “I wanted to take matters into my own hands for the location shoot, and I did a good job, wearing floral leggings and a matching floral sweater that I oversized and clearly liked enough to take with me when I was cast in Saved By the Bell to the wardrobe people there.”
“Now that I look at it, and my God, the fact that I got that in two shows is um… and people recognize it,” she shared.
Additionally, when a fan asked when they heard about the show’s ending, they joked that the Zoolander actress was already ready to move on.
The cast members revealed that Taylor was with Kelly Brown, who played Bradley “Brad” Taylor Hey guy, when they were told that the fifth season would conclude the series.
“We got the call and we cried. You were kind of done with it. Yours were tears of joy,” Brown said, teasing her.
