The family of Chuck Norris is warning fans about fake and AI-generated stories circulating on the internet about the action movie star’s death.
The late actor’s family issues a statement on Norris’ official Instagram account, warning people about information in video format or social media posts on the Internet containing misleading and false information about the actor’s death and his health history.
The family stressed that people do not believe or share any report “unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official representative of the family.”
It is pertinent to mention that Norris passed away on March 20. He was 86.
The statement read: “We are aware that since Chuck’s passing, a number of Al-generated videos and messages have been circulating online that contain false and misleading information about the circumstances of his death, his health history, and who was present.”
“These claims are completely untrue. This includes fabricated reports of past medical problems, as well as false stories about family relationships.”
Norris’ family asked: “We kindly ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official representative of the family.”
“Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers,” they concluded, adding: “The Norris family.”
