Connor Storrie has shared his family’s reaction to his hit steamy hockey show, Heated rivalry.
The 25 year old actor made a guest appearance on the Today show on Wednesday, where he discussed his family’s reaction to its explosive popularity.
“My mom is my biggest supporter,” Connor began. “My family is crazy.”
“From a young age, when I was like, ‘I want to be in movies’ and stuff, they were like, ‘Yes, go do it!’ They always believed in me, and I think it’s probably quite surreal to see things like this happen,” he added.
However, the actor revealed that his father has not yet seen the show, which features numerous nude scenes.
“My dad didn’t see it, and I’m not asking him to see it,” Connor said. “I don’t think he has to see it if he doesn’t want to.”
“I think specifically for him, I mean, you know with streaming and the way television and movies work now is so different than when I was a kid. Even I sometimes think, ‘Oh, this isn’t real because I don’t necessarily see it in commercials and I don’t see billboards for it,'” he explained.
“You know, when I was little we had all these specific channels and it was like all you saw were the movie stars and all this stuff and now that streaming is a thing it’s not the same anymore. We don’t take media the same way so it doesn’t always feel ‘real’,” the concluded Riley star.
Heated rivalry can be viewed on HBO Max.
