Country singer leaves fans ‘disappointed’ with unexpected announcement

Country singer Marcus King left his fans disappointed when he announced the cancellation of his upcoming international tour.

The 30-year-old singer shared on his Instagram account on Monday that he has canceled his upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand.

“Hello everyone, there is nothing in the world we hate more than having to cancel a show, let alone an entire tour – but sometimes the business side of things just doesn’t match our desires/need to play in front of as many of you wonderful people as possible,” he wrote.

“We regret to announce that due to the cancellation of Bluesfest we will not be able to continue with our planned run in Australia and New Zealand,” continued the Beautiful stranger hitmaker.

Marcus added: “Bluesfest was the anchor for this trip and without it it just isn’t possible. We WILL be back and we WILL get together again the next time we go down.”

Following the announcement, Marcus’ fans rushed to the comments section of the post to express their disappointment over the cancellation.

“Nooooo! I got my ticket to Melbourne,” one fan wrote.

“We love you down here buddy! What a blow to all of us to lose Bluesfest, but I know there’s a crowd here waiting for your return when the time is right,” said another.

For those unfamiliar, Marcus was scheduled to perform in Auckland, New Zealand on April 1, followed by BluesFest in Byron Bay, New South Wales.

BluesFest, which has been held over the Easter long weekend since 1990, had already been canceled due to poor ticket sales.
