Cruz Beckham fires back at claims he copied ‘The Beatles and Oasis’

Cruz Beckham received massive attention after pushing back against claims he had copied The Beatles and Oasis as he started his journey in music.

The young singer recently introduced his work with the release of his two singles Optics And Lick the toadand he met small audiences at live shows as he tried to shape his own style.

On Sunday, Cruz responded to several social media comments claiming his songs were too similar to the legendary bands.

He posted a screenshot of the comments on his Instagram Stories and wrote that this is what writing a song looks like, adding that some people are racking his brain and saying that jealousy leads to delusions.

However, Cruz’s response came shortly after he posted a photo of his injured pinky wrapped in a bandage as he showed it off to fans with a light-hearted peace sign emoji.

Cruz also spent the week celebrating his performance with his band The Breakers. His father David gave him a big hug after the show and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel proudly stood by him.

Additionally, the evening felt emotional for the family and Cruz later shared photos of the evening, calling it a wonderful experience.

Jackie posted her own photo of the couple sharing a kiss and fans noticed their matching fur coats.

The couple started seeing each other in June 2024 and made their relationship public in October.

David shared a clip of Cruz singing and said the family was proud of his growth and his mother Victoria Beckham also highlighted his performance and said he looked happy on stage.

Friends and family members also filled the comments with their support and expressed their happiness.

Cruz performed Optics during the show, a song with bold lyrics, while Lick The Toad offered a softer theme inspired by nature.

Jackie hinted that Cruz could release a full-length album soon, suggesting more music could be on the way.
