Dakota Mortensen’s legal team criticizes Taylor Frankie Paul after their latest court hearing.
After Tuesday’s hearing, Mortensen’s attorney, Joel Kittrell, claimed Frankie Paul was trying to damage his client’s reputation as a father.
Kittrell claimed that Paul tried to “assassinate Dakota’s character as a father”, while Mortensen focused primarily on the well-being of their son Ever. He also indicated that the case is still ongoing and said they plan to present further details at the next hearing, scheduled for the 30th.
The dispute comes amid a series of legal filings from both sides. Paul recently filed a restraining order in a Utah court, claiming Mortensen assaulted and stalked her. Her file reportedly contained photographs of injuries from incidents she said occurred in May 2025 and February 2026.
Mortensen had previously obtained a protective order against Paul on March 20, temporarily limiting her contact with their son.
During this week’s hearing, a judge granted Paul limited access, allowing her to be supervised for a maximum of eight hours per week.
The case comes after previous allegations involving both parties. Authorities had been investigating claims that Paul was involved in physical altercations, including an incident in February. Previous reports also referenced a 2023 incident in which she allegedly threw objects during a dispute.
The legal battle between the two continues, with both sides filing serious claims against each other as custody and custodial measures continue.
