Come on Knives out 3Daniel Craig was asked about the possibility of a fourth film

If Knives out of three is a day away from release, Daniel Craig, who plays Detective Benoit Blanc, has been asked if the fourth film will be made.

About this, his director Rian Johnson first tells GoldDerby: “I don’t really consider it a trilogy.” Daniel adds his thought, noting, “I guess there’s three.”

“Oh yeah, that’s right!”, the filmmaker responds as the James Bond star shares, “I don’t think I see it as a trilogy either. Maybe that’s up to you. But the civil answer is that if we can excite each other enough, we’ll make another one.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the director duo were asked how their relationship has evolved since the first film in 2019.

“It’s become more of a partnership. On the first film, we met the cold and jumped in. [Collaborating] has been one of the true joys of it,” says Rian.

“The thing is, we didn’t make the first movie thinking we’d make two more! We’re both in the tooth long enough to realize that’s not the way it works.”

“It was a great surprise for everyone involved how the audience responded to the first one, which presented itself as: ‘Now you have to make another one. That’s a higher class problem, but it’s still a problem,” Daniel concludes.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery opens in theaters today.
