Denise Richards trolls ex-husband Charlie Sheen over fake $1M cheque

The couple was married from 2003 to 2006 and have two daughters together

Denise Richards has set the record straight with Charlie Sheen’s $1 million ‘joke’ check.

After Sheen claimed the KFC radio podcast that his ex-wife once cashed a check for a million dollars, he wrote to her “as a joke,” Richards hit back with evidence.

On October 23, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum posted a photo of the check on Instagram Stories and wrote, “I found this during my recent move. I never cashed it, @charliesheen. Is it still good?”

Sheen, 60, had told host Kevin Clancy that he wrote the check for her birthday years ago. “I once wrote Denise a check for $1 million on her birthday as a joke, and she didn’t keep it as a joke,” he said. “And then, a month later, it was fucking cashed in.”

The Two and a half men star added that he wasn’t even sure if they were still married at the time, joking, “Yeah, what makes it even more painful? But you know, if I’m on the other side, I’ll probably cash that check.”

However, the date on the check Richards posted – December 24, 2011 – suggests otherwise, as the couple had divorced five years earlier.

Richards, 54, and Sheen were married from 2002 to 2006 and share two daughters, Sami, 21, and Lola, 20. Although their marriage ended in turmoil, the two appear to be on friendly terms these days.

She even appeared in the recent Netflix documentary also called Charlie Sheenbut admitted: “What he did to me, I don’t know how I’m here to be honest.”
