Diddy begins a new chapter behind bars with prison time

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs appeared to be settling into his new reality behind bars as reports suggested he has been offered a job at the prison.

Diddy now reportedly looks after the laundry room at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

The 55-year-old rapper, once known for his lavish lifestyle and private jets, is expected to spend his days washing and drying clothes for other inmates.

Sources said TMZ the music mogul officially began his work assignment shortly after being transferred to the low-security facility earlier this week.

Diddy is serving a 50-month prison sentence after being convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution.

However, his lawyers pushed for the transfer from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, citing poor conditions and hoping that the New Jersey prison’s rehabilitation programs would provide him with some stability and family access.

During his trial, prosecutors alleged that the rapper relied so heavily on personal assistants that he was unable to perform basic tasks himself, making his new prison role a stark contrast to his old life.

The rapper’s move came weeks after disturbing reports from Brooklyn, where his longtime friend Charlucci Finney told the Daily Mail that Diddy once woke up with a knife to his throat.

Finney believed the attack was intended to frighten him rather than hurt him, describing it as “intimidation.”

The producer said he was constantly worried about his friend’s safety, explaining that prisoners often target those accused of sex crimes.

“We are not talking about an ordinary person,” he said. “We’re talking about Diddy.”
