Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson broke his silence after his new film, The Smashing MachineHad the lowest opening weekend of his career.
The 53-year-old actor thanked fans on Instagram for watching his film, despite his slow start at the Kassa.
He said he could not determine how much a film earned, but could control his performance and dedication.
“From deep in my grateful bones, thanks to everyone who has viewed the Smashing Machine,” he wrote.
“In our story world you cannot check the results of the box manager. But what I realized that you can check is your performance and your dedication to disappear completely and go somewhere else. And I will always run to that chance.”
Johnson’s message came after Taylor Swift had released her concert film The Official Release Party of A Showgirl, which opened the same weekend as his film.
The Lover The Hitmaker’s film earned $ 33 million, leaving the Smashing Machine far behind with just $ 6 million.
The new film by Leonardo DiCaprio One Battle after the other also performed better and collected $ 11 million in the second week.
In The Smashing MachineDirected by Benny Safdie, Johnson Mma -hunter Mark Kerr played next to Emily Blunt.
He said that the experience changed his life and thanked Safdie for believing in him.
