Emma Watson thinks about her relationship with acting and why she left the big screen after her role in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women in 2019.
While the actress admitted that she is missing the vessel herself, she said she was not missing the accompanying part and promotes films.
“In some respects I really won the lottery [with acting]And what happened to me is so unusual, “Watson told Hollywood Authentic in a new interview.
“But a larger part than the actual job itself is the promotion and sale of that work, this artwork. The balance of it can be thrown away considerably. I think I will be honest and simple and say: I don’t miss selling things.
The former Harry Potter star added that what she really misses is the work itself.
“I miss it very much to use my skills, and I miss the art very much. I just discovered that I had to do so little about the piece that I really liked,” she explained.
For Watson, the most rewarding part of acting came in the rehearsal and film process.
“The moment you can talk through a scene, or I had to prepare and think about how I wanted to do something, and then as soon as the camera rolls, and to completely forget all the other in the world, it is such an intense form of meditation. Because you just can’t be otherwise. It is free.
Although she has not shared details, Watson hinted that she is currently ‘working on something that I have never done before’, fans curiously left her next step.
Away from Hollywood, Watson said she has found balance and fulfillment.
“I think it is interesting to be an actor, there is a tendency to break yourself a little in multiple personalities,” she said.
“I am not only talking about the roles you play, but that I have the weight of a public personality, that kind of constant is needed to feed and spur and glamor. It is very energy-intensive things. And the gathering of the multiple identities has made so much space, I think, for me to be a better sister, daughter, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend, friend.
Despite the pressing of her career, Watson shared that “perhaps the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been”.
