Liam Hemsworth has fallen in love with the committed life again.
During a performance at the Today show on Monday, October 27, the Hunger Games alum — who was previously married to Miley Cyrus — opened up about his engagement to longtime girlfriend Gabriella Brooks.
“I’m incredibly excited,” Hemsworth told host Savannah Guthrie when asked about the big news.
Brooks first confirmed their engagement in September with a simple black-and-white photo on her social media, showing the 29-year-old model wearing her square-cut diamond ring.
The Witcher star revealed that he popped the question “a few months ago,” clearing up rumors that it happened during their recent trip to the Maldives.
“We were there recently,” he says. “I finished shooting about three weeks ago and immediately went to a tropical island and let my hair down…or pulled my hair off,” he joked, referring to his long white wig from The witcher.
“But no, we’re super excited,” he added. “It’s a happy time in life.”
According to People magazine, Hemsworth reportedly started dating Brooks shortly after he divorced Miley Cyrus in 2018 following a years-long tumultuous relationship and a short-lived marriage.
Aside from their trip to the Maldives, the happy couple recently stepped out together for the season 4 premiere of The witcher on October 23, with Brooks sharing photos from the evening to her social media days later.
Hemsworth replaced Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia after the Superman star stepped out of the role halfway through season 3.
