Fendi lets the sunshine in with Milan show

Milan: Dawn Rays on Thursday transformed the usually gray heaven of Milan when the luxury fashion brand Fendi sent his latest collection over the catwalk under a huge rising sun.

It was the first show of Silvia Venturini Fendi after the death of fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld in February, and her ready to wear debut with padded jackets, skirts and jackets in pastel colors, as well as vintage flowers.

Fendi described it as a “very emotional” moment, and added that Greaterfeld’s 54 years had formed his DNA with the house.

The German designer started working together with the fashion brand in 1965 and remained at the helm.

“The sunny setting evokes the start of a new day, new pages that need to be written, but also records the enthusiasm of a summer day,” Fendi Backstage said.

On the melody of “Let the Sunshine in”, from the musical “Hair” from 1967, Sashhaks de catwalk in pure tops, large mesh vests, lover dresses, colorful fur coats and printed tights.

Top models including Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber and Gigi Hadid have captured their things, with fashionistas who were looking for a movement of Fendi’s previous slender hair and makeup for messy ponytails, space rolls and glittering eyes.

“Lagerfeld’s teachings, for so many years, have been taken by everyone to heart to this whole family who learned to work with him,” CEO of Fendi Serge Brunschwig told AFP on the sidelines of the show.

“But he also taught us to do it without doing him, like all the great masters do, so we’ll continue,” he said.
