George Clooney ‘skipped the line’ for citizenship?

George Clooney ‘skipped the queue’ for citizenship?

George Clooney is facing accusations after gaining his French citizenship.

Critics accuse the Hollywood star of receiving special treatment not available to ordinary immigrants Radaronline.

When Clooney, his wife Amal Clooney and their twin children were granted French citizenship in December, there was outrage among politicians and immigration advocates, arguing that the process undermines fairness.

Junior Interior Minister Marie-Pierre Vedrenne called it a “double standard.” She added: “The message that is being sent is not a good one. There is an issue of fairness which in my view is absolutely essential.”

Furthermore, privacy expert Frank Ahearn has also claimed that Clooney used his Hollywood status to break the line, saying: “I think the situation with George Clooney is terrible – it’s just another rich person paying for something.”

“If you have the money, it’s easy to fast-track citizenship, but for the average person you have to jump through a lot of hoops,” he added. “Someone who works a 9-to-5 job, sweats to pay a lawyer to help him, goes through the various channels and undergoes a tough background check would not be able to get a minister of the French government to stamp his citizenship application.”

On the other hand, insiders claim that George Clooney’s move towards citizenship may be related to political concerns following the tensions surrounding Donald Trump and international lawsuits linked to Benjamin Netanyahu.
