Georgia Tennant contacted police after receiving another wave of death threats on social media.
The 40-year-old actress shared screenshots of insulting messages telling her to “die for good” and used vile insults.
Several posts also labeled her as David Tennant’s former wife and tried to shame her with cruel comments.
One message included coffin and knife emojis next to the line: “You die dirty Georgia, you are very sick.”
However, Tennant tagged the Metropolitan Police and Instagram in her posts as she sought help and answers.
She made it clear that she would not ignore the threats and wanted the platforms and police to take the matter seriously.
This wasn’t the first time Tennant had faced such abuse, as in September she revealed in Facebook posts that a stalker was offering a reward for her murder.
At the time, she posted a screenshot of the threat and publicly asked social networks to explain what counted as a violation of their rules.
The Daily Mail found more disturbing reports targeting Tennant. One comment warned that an obituary for a specific person would be published soon.
Another message claimed that the writer planned to do whatever it took to be with David Tennant and said Georgia should be killed.
In a separate post, others were urged to vote in favor of killing her.
For those unfamiliar, Georgia married actor David Tennant in 2011 and the couple started a blended family with Ty, Olive, Wilfred, Doris and Birdie.
Fans and colleagues were shocked by the threats and called for swift action. Police confirmed they were investigating the messages and said the case was pending while they investigated the messages.
