Gwyneth Paltrow’s Oscar win ‘felt like something huge’.
The 53-year-old star won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Shakespeare in lovethe 1998 romantic comedy, and she still remembers its success as a turning point in her life.
I spoke with Jacob Elordi Variety, Gwyneth said: “It felt like something huge had happened. There was a huge energetic shift and it was very overwhelming. I was only 26.”
“If I could go back and talk to myself at that age, I would just say, ‘Take your time.’ Just really get in touch with who you are, as much as possible, and make decisions from that place. Take it slow and work with great people, and make sure you don’t let yourself down along the way,” she added.
Gwyneth enjoyed huge success early in her career, but then left Hollywood to build her lifestyle brand Goop.
She then returned to the film world to star in leading roles Marty Supremewhile admitting that the industry has changed significantly over the past thirty years.
She said: “Quite a bit has changed, and the business models have changed and the way it’s all commercialized.”
Meanwhile, the businesswoman previously noted that social media can be “incredibly scary.”
The actress believes it can be “difficult” to navigate social media platforms, but Gwyneth is still not afraid to speak her mind online.
The award-winning star – who has more than nine million Instagram followers – said this Sky News: “I can’t fake it.”
“Going forward, I’m going to be myself and be honest. That’s me, for better or worse. I think I’m a very authentic person in some ways. So you know, that’s my style,” Gwyneth Paltrow concluded.
