Hailee Steinfeld reveals what she’s doing to prepare for the arrival of her first child.
In a blog post titled “Getting Your Ducks in a Row” for her Substack Beau Society, the Spider-Man: In the Spiderverse star wrote that it recently dawned on her that “a little family is about to grow.”
“Of course I have all the to-do lists (which you know I love), and I’ve been busy with research and the general life reorganization that happens when you’re about to have a baby,” Steinfeld wrote.
“But the deepest and most profound part of preparing for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I have with myself almost every day,” she added.
“While tuning in, I experienced this surreal, body-conscious realization that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways. We’re getting ready to meet someone we already love so much,” she said.
“I’ve been racking my brain for words to describe that feeling, and I don’t have any yet. Maybe that’s the point. For now, I’m blessed to be able to settle into the feeling,” she said.
The Sinners actress prepared the nursery and enjoyed the process.
“I’ve gone back and forth over small details more than I care to admit (why is choosing a rocking chair so emotional?), but seeing it all slowly come together makes our new life feel more tangible,” the star wrote. “The emphasis on coming together ‘slowly’ – it’s all still a work in progress.”
Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen started dating in early 2023 and got engaged in November 2024. They married on May 31, 2025 in a private ceremony in California.
