Hailey Bieber recently set the record straight after her rumored feud with Selena Gomez.
The model explains that she hates going up against other stars, like Justin Bieber’s ex Selena, years after both women publicly shut down speculation about a feud.
When asked if her beauty brand Rhode is being compared to Selena’s Rare Beauty by Sephora shoppers, Hailey expresses her annoyance “at being pitted against other people.”
“I didn’t ask for that,” the 28-year-old answers in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal.
The model notes: “If people want to see you a certain way and they have made up a story about you in their heads, then it is not up to you to change that.”
Nevertheless, Hailey believes there is “room for everyone” when it comes to other Sephora brands.
“I don’t feel competitive with people I’m not inspired by,” added the mother of son Jack Blues, whom she shares with Justin.
This isn’t the first time Hailey has addressed fans’ stories linking her to Selena.
In 2023, the model publicly spoke out about two women competing against each other because of a man.
“I hate it. I’ve hated it from the beginning. There’s no problem and there’s no issue. It’s so disappointing that people still act like this towards a man. It’s the world we live in, unfortunately,” Hailey explains as he speaks. The track with Emily Chang.
Meanwhile, in her latest interview with WJHailey also talks about the constant criticism of her relationship with Justin.
“We’re both really finding our voice about who we are and, I believe, both really authentic in what we actually want to do,” she adds.
