Hailey Bieber has opened up about the emotional toll of living under constant public scrutiny.
Speaking about the Therapus with Jake Shane podcast, Hailey got candid about navigating fame while dealing with criticism. Justin Bieber’s wife called the experience “mentally exhausting.”
“What did I ever do to you? It’s millions of people. Then you get caught in a cycle of constantly trying to prove yourself,” she said.
As she struggles to calm her people-pleasing tendencies, Hailey admits to Jake that she’s learned that explaining too much won’t get her anywhere.
She said: “I think it’s so easy to misunderstand people and take things apart, to see a little piece of such a bigger picture. I’ve realized that you don’t have to explain yourself.”
“It doesn’t really make any difference at all,” Hailey added.
However, Hailey Bieber said she has found comfort in setting boundaries. She admitted that she is “happy and grateful” to have people around her who can “completely identify” with whatever she is feeling.
Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber married in 2018 and are parents to 16-month-old son Jack Blues Bieber, whom they welcomed in August 2024.
