Harrison Ford, a legendary star, has appeared in several hit projects. But his show on Apple TV+, Shrinking, has carved a special place in the hearts of his fans.
With its delicate stories about Parkinson’s disease and its mix of comedy and emotional moments, Shrinking has earned several applause and laurels.
However, after what happened in episode 4 of season 3, fans feared that this season would be Ford’s last.
Is Harrison Ford Leaving ‘Shrinking’?
The rumor started because Ford’s character Dr. Paul Rhoades decided to quit as a therapist after a session with patient Gerry, played by Michael J. Fox – who himself had Parkinson’s in real life.
However, Paul also said it would take “months to wind down the practice”, sharing that he will have to inform his patients of his decision, meaning he will play his role in a few more episodes in the next few episodes.
But that probably doesn’t mean he’s leaving.
First off, there has been no official confirmation from Ford’s showrunners regarding the departure. Secondly, he is a core part of the series; his time away from his medical practice could become part of the story.
Meanwhile, Shrinking season four is in the works.
In other news, Ford accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Actor Awards. Woody Harrelson presented him with the prestigious honor.
“I hadn’t met Harrison before I saw him enter a sushi restaurant in San Vicente,” Harrelson said. “I followed him in; he invited me to lunch and we had an incredible conversation.”
