Cat Deeley was visibly moved during an emotional segment This morningLike a heartbreaking phone call from a man who experienced early dementia symptoms, her and co-gastheer Ben Shephard shuffled.
The presenters had opened the telephone lines on the ITV Show, encourage viewers to share their concerns or personal experiences with regard to dementia.
During the live call-in, a caller with the name Collin went off as he shared his fears about his deteriorating memory and the uncertainty surrounding his diagnosis.
Colin said during the phone: “I am going through the procedures to get the diagnosis of dementia, and I have been the memory clinic, and now they say I have to see a consultant to get a good diagnosis.”
He became emotional, continued: “I just wanted to know what happens afterwards because I have family and I am worried about forgetting things that I have already started to do.”
He shared that although he still recognizes his children, he has problems remembering their names when they are with him.
Cat, 48, seemed deeply affected by his story. She looked down and blinked the tears when the emotional call ended.
Before hunging, Colin added apologetically: “Sorry if he wasted their time.”
The heartbreaking moment came to the show shortly after another moving segment, in which Cat became emotional as he spoke with a mother who kept a heartbreaking abuse of her teenage daughter.
For those who are unknown, Cat recently confirmed her divorce from colleague -TV star Patrick Kielty, 54, after 12 years of marriage.
