Honeybees could help humans communicate with aliens, scientists say

Communication with non-intelligent entities has been nearly impossible for humans. However, a group of Australian scientists have optimistically reported that humans can communicate with aliens.

According to researchers, the development of a ‘universal’ language will allow humanity to send and receive messages from extraterrestrial life.

According to research, despite their small brains, honey bees can solve subtraction and addition problems. They can also classify numbers as even or odd.

Humans and honeybees diverged more than 600 million years ago, making them one of the most distant species of humans to share complex traits.

Given the ability of bees to do math, it has been proven that math is not dependent on human language or a specific type of brain.

According to researchers, “If two species considered alien to each other – humans and honeybees – can perform mathematics, along with many other animals, then perhaps mathematics could form the basis of a universal language.”

According to a thought experiment published in the journal Leonardo, Because it is an objective part of the universe, mathematics can serve as a basis for communication beyond Earth, especially with extraterrestrials.

Despite the existence of biological and sensory differences between species, mathematics can become a universal language, allowing the different biological entities to communicate with each other.

“If extraterrestrial species exist, and they have sufficiently advanced brains, our work suggests they may have the ability to do math,” researchers say.
