Kim Kardashian discovered that psoriasis appeared on her legs in 2011 and since then her life changed for her.
But the 45-year-old star has always been open about her struggles with the skin condition on social media and her family reality TV show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.
It’s been a constant and exhausting struggle for Kim, but after trying countless different remedies, she finally found something that worked for her.
Speak with PEOPLE magazine in 2017, she told the outlet, “I used this light — and I don’t want to speak too soon because [the psoriasis] is almost gone, but I used this light [therapy] and my psoriasis is 60 percent gone.”
“That’s wild because it hasn’t gone away in years,” Kim added.
Her weapon against psoriasis was the Baby Quasar LED at-home light therapy system, a nearly $600 device that Kim revealed she started using for her psoriasis in a 2015 interview with Into the Gloss.
More than a year later, in 2016, Kardashian shared via the app that she has learned to live with the skin condition.
“I have the one patch on my right leg that is the most visible,” the SKIMS owner explained in a message on her app. “I don’t even try to hide it that much anymore. Sometimes I just feel like it’s my big fault and everyone knows it, so why cover it up? After so many years, I’ve really learned to live with it,” Kim Kardashian concluded.
