The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reprimanded Pakistan’s top order Slagman Sidra Amin for violating his code of conduct during the World Cup competition for women against India.
According to the Apex Cricketing Body, the right-handed seizure has violated Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to the “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or luminaires and fittings during an international competition.”
The incident took place at the penultimate delivery of the 40th over when Sidra was caught on Square-Leg by India Captain HarmanPreet Kaur from Sneh Rana.
Frustrated by herself, the batter hit her bat in the turf before she ran back to the pavilion.
As a result, one Demerit point has been added to the disciplinary record of the top order at bat. This was Sidra’s first violation in the 24 -month period.
The 33-year-old accepted the crime and the sanction proposed by ICC as referee Shandre Fritz, which eliminates the need for a formal hearing.
The load was leveled by referees on the Lauren Agenbag field and Nimali Perera, next to the third referee Kerrin Kaste and fourth referee Kim Cotton.
For the unexpected, infringements at level 1 can lead to fines ranging from an official reprimand to a fine of 50 percent of the match costs of a player and one or two demerit points.
For the unexpected, Sidra Amin, who held the collection of Pakistan together in the 248-run target, their top scorer with a Gutsy 81 from 106 deliveries, lined with nine four and a six.
Her resignation eventually resulted in Pakistan being thrown away for a meager 159 in 43 overs and therefore a debilitating 88-run defeat in their second game of the ICC World Cup Cricket World Cup 2025.
