With Pakistan who is taking on arch-rivals India again in their Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match on September 21, Indian Spinner Kuldeep Yadav has praised Pakistan’s Star Pacer Shaheen Afridi with his good shape.
“Shaheen [Afridi] is in excellent form, a small mistake can be expensive [against him]”Kuldeep said during a press conference and added that the motivation of the players was also high in the match against Pakistan.
The two parties went against each other on 14 September in their group A match, where the men in Blue won a seven Wicket victory after chasing the 128-run target of the Green Shirts.
Group A competitions still have to be completed, although India and Pakistan have already sealed the qualification.
India will play their last group match against Oman on Friday in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Group B matches ended on Thursday with Sri Lanka that remained unbeaten and all three games won to end up with six points at the top.
Bangladesh achieved second place with two wins and collected four points despite a negative net running speed.
The Super Four stage starts on Saturday in Dubai, where Bangladesh will be confronted with Sri Lanka. On Sunday, arch -rivalen Pakistan and India will collide again at the same location.
Monday is designated a day of rest before Pakistan met Sri Lanka in the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 23.
