A Look Inside Lisa Kudrow’s Shocking Claim With ‘Friends’ Co-Stars

Lisa Kudrow recently made some shocking revelations from her time on Friends.

The actress, famous for her role as Phoebe Buffey on the show, hinted at the tensions with her co-stars, saying, “Nobody cared about me. There were certain parts of (my talent agency) that referred to me as ‘the sixth friend.'”

“There was no vision for me, and no expectations about the kind of career I could have. There was just like, ‘Boy, she’s lucky she got to be on that show,'” Kudrow added.

An insider now tells us this Radaronline“What Lisa Kudrow describes points to a rift between her and the rest of the Friends cast — not necessarily in personal relationships, but in the way she was valued within the machinery surrounding the show. Being labeled the ‘sixth friend’ speaks to a hierarchy that, whether intentionally or not, can leave lasting scars.”

“It’s not unusual for ensemble casts to be treated unequally, but putting it so bluntly suggests there could be tensions lurking beneath the surface that the audience never saw,” the source added.

Meanwhile, another source close to production told the network that Lisa Kudrow’s comments indicate she was “battling a perception problem from the beginning.”

“Even within hugely successful projects, certain actors are elevated while others are quietly marginalized – and that can absolutely cause feuds and divisions, if not outright conflict,” the insider noted, adding that the actress’ reflections highlight “how success doesn’t always translate into equal recognition behind the scenes.”

It is pertinent to mention that Lisa Kudrow starred in Friends alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
