Jennifer Aniston is reportedly stepping in with quiet support as her boyfriend, Jim Curtis, tries to repair his relationship with his teenage son, Aidan.
For those unfamiliar, Curtis shares Aidan with his ex-wife, Rachel Napolitano-Curtis.
According to a new report from RadarOnline.comAniston “helped” her partner mend his bond with his son in a “very respectful” and distant way, while naturally embracing the idea of becoming a regular parental presence in Aidan’s life.
Sources say the actress is approaching the situation with patience and sensitivity.
According to the insider, she wants to be supportive without crossing the line, giving Curtis the space to take the lead as a father while showing warmth toward Aidan.
“The last thing she wants to do is force anything, so she leaves the ball in Jim’s court. But it’s no secret that she would love to play the role of stepmother,” the insider noted.
“She has come to terms with the fact that motherhood in the traditional sense of the word is not in the cards for her,” they continued.
Before concluding, the source added, “But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have room in her heart for a family.”
