Jennifer Aniston recently reflected on her year 2016 Huffington post op-ed, in which she called out the media for speculating about her plans to start a family.
The 56-year-old actress, known for her role as Rachel Green in the 1994 sitcom Friendsspoke about the media’s curiosity about her pregnancy.
In an exclusive conversation with Harper’s Bazaarshe said: “They didn’t know my story, or what I had gone through over the last twenty years to raise a family, because I don’t go out and tell them my medical problems. That’s no one’s business. But there comes a point when you can’t hear it anymore: the story about how I won’t have a baby, won’t have a family, because I’m selfish, a workaholic. It does affect me: I’m just human. We’re all human beings. That’s why I thought Me: ‘What the hell?'”
Earlier in 2016, The Morning Show star had shared similar thoughts on the subject.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLEshe explained, “Honestly, it’s not something that comes up in our everyday lives. It’s more like questions that come up on the red carpet or in an interview. I just think it’s an energy that’s unnecessary and not really fair to those who do or don’t do it. [have children]. Who knows what the reason is why people don’t have children. There could be many reasons, and maybe it’s something no one wants to discuss. It’s everyone’s personal prerogative, that’s all.”
On the professional front, Aniston recently appeared in The Morning Show season four, with the finale scheduled for November 19.
