Jennifer Hudson’s latest Grammy nomination is more than an honor, it’s truly a gift of love.
The fourth studio album by the 44-year-old American singer and actress, The gift of love, has scored a nomination in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.
The latest Grammy nominations were revealed on Friday, November 7, a date that coincided with a very personal occasion for Hudson: her late mother’s birthday.
Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, was tragically killed in a shooting in Chicago in October 2008.

Reflecting on her latest Grammy nomination in a press room during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, November 8, Dream girls star said: “I’m still living in a dream, it has blessed me.”
The gift of love is a “project done with heart and soul,” she noted. “And it was also on my late mother’s birthday, which made it even more special,” she added, referring to the day she received the Grammy nod.
