Jennifer Lawrence reflects on a worse postpartum experience with a second child

Jennifer Lawrence recently opened up about her worst postpartum experience when discussing the gender of her second child.

The Hunger Games actress reveals second child is her son, whom she welcomed earlier this year with her husband, art gallery director Cooke Maroney.

Jennifer, a mother of two sons, then talks about her ongoing postpartum experience since her son was born six months ago.

“I had worse postpartum with my second, but the first time the only thing I was at war with was the rest of the world,” she says The New Yorker.

No hard feelings actress points out she thought her second son was ‘dead’ every time he slept,

“I thought he was crying because he didn’t like his life, me or his family,” the 35-year-old explains.

Passenger actress says: “I thought I was doing everything wrong and that I would ruin my children.”

Later, Jennifer revealed that she had been prescribed Zurzuvae, a medication to ease her postpartum anxiety.

Elsewhere in the interview, Jennifer recalls bursting into tears when she asked ChatGPT a question about breastfeeding, and the answer she received made her more anxious.

“You are doing something wonderful for your baby. You are such a loving mother,” she had told her, but she said a robot would tell her, which made her question the sincerity of other people who said the same to her,” emphasizes the Red Sparrow actress.

Meanwhile, Jennifer, who has also suffered from anxiety for years, says she is “driven by this condition”.

“When I was a child, I calmed my anxiety by trying to be good, by trying to do the right thing so I wouldn’t upset God or my parents,” she adds.
