Jessica Biel has finally broken her silence about a viral parenting trend using her name.
The 44-year-old American actress, who shares her two sons Silas and Phineas with Justin Timberlake, expressed her thoughts on a toddler tantrum track that she once made fun of on social media.
Biel: “Guys, I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this Jessica trend with moms, toddlers and now dogs, which apparently it works for – which is pretty amazing, I’m going to try it with my dogs. I feel like half the kids in these videos look terrified.”
In the viral trend on social media, a child throws a tantrum, but the loud shouting of Jessica’s name distracts him and eventually calms him down.
This comes especially after the mother of two posted some examples on her Instagram Stories, writing on one of the videos, “You called.”
She said at the time: “I’m really excited to be able to come into your household with my name that I share with so many other incredible Jessicas around the world, I’m sure, and help you with your kids’ tantrums, but I kind of feel like these kids are terrified.”
“They look terrified and hopeful that Jessica won’t show up,” Jessica joked.
“Part of me wants to say, ‘You’re welcome. I’m glad I can help you. I’m glad Jessica can be all helpful,’ and also, please don’t scare your toddler of people named Jessica. Because we’re good people. We’re nice people. We want to help you with the tantrum, but we don’t want to scare your child,”
