Jessie J cancels Toronto concert due to ‘extreme weather’

Jessie J has canceled her Toronto concert due to the region’s extreme weather.

The 37-year-old singer was scheduled to perform at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on Sunday evening. However, heavy snowfall and dangerously low temperatures led to the cancellation of her concert.

Jessie announced the cancellation on Instagram on Sunday, saying safety was her top priority.

“I am personally making the decision to cancel tonight’s show in TORONTO,” she announced. “I don’t feel comfortable with people risking their safety for the show.”

She further wrote: ‘I understand that some people will be upset and others will no doubt be relieved, but I think this is the right decision.

“You will receive a full refund for your tickets,” the continued Bang Bang singer. “I’m really sorry.

Jessie added: “I’m in the hall at the moment and it wasn’t safe to come here and the snow is only getting worse. “I just can’t imagine how people would get home in the dark in this weather.

Concluding her post, she wrote, “I hope you can respect my decision even though you may not agree with it. For me, safety should always come first. Lots of love, J.”
