John Cusack names ONE film he wants to revisit

John Cusack reveals which of his films he would revisit

John Cusack is not going to make a sequel to his romantic hits Say everything And Coincidence.

At a recent screening of 1989 Say everythingJohn revealed that there is only one of his films that he would like to see again.

“I was lucky that I never had the desire, otherwise no one would ask me to make sequels,” the star said.

‘There’s one that I think would be interesting to do, viz 1408. Just because… I think most movies suck these days,” he laughed and apologized to the audience.

He noted that while most of the new innovations don’t live up to the originals, the thriller genre is still going strong.

“There’s still the psychological horror, you know, Rod Serling stuff,” he continued. “That’s still pretty pure. If you can achieve something like that, it’s fun.”

1408 belonged to the same genre and was based on the short story by Stephen King. The film followed a paranormal myth debunker (played by John) who insists on staying in the Dolphin Hotel’s famous haunted room 1408, despite many mysterious deaths taking place there.

This comes next Say everything director Cameron Crowe revealed in his memoir that John gave him sage advice during the making of the film.

In Crowe’s memoirs, The uncool, he recalled that the romance film was his directorial debut, so he had “all these people on my shoulder” watching over him.

“[Cusack] I finished this recording and immediately all these people were on my shoulder,” he recalled. Cusack is standing there on set and he gestures to me.

“We go for a walk. He says, ‘I’ve worked with some really good directors. I’ve worked with Rob Reiner and John Sayles, and I just want to say I’m here to throw for you,'” Crowe recalled.

“You’re going to meet other actors like me, and they’re there for you. So when I’m done with a shoot, I don’t want to look up and see a bunch of people whispering,” he continued. “That doesn’t work for me. I want you and me locked up. Do we do it together?”
