JoJo Siwa was rushed to hospital in ‘excruciating pain’ after a cyst on her ovary burst just hours before her Black Friday show.
The Dance mothers The star took to TikTok on Saturday (29.11.25) and revealed she “couldn’t breathe” and “blacked out” before being taken to hospital.
It came after JoJo, 22, dismissed stomach pain – which ‘just goes away’ – after dancing or walking for the ‘last few days’.
In the TikTok video, she said, “It was yesterday morning and I went to the Mall of America to do some morning work on Black Friday, and suddenly I came back to my room and said to my mom, ‘Hey, I need to get myself looked at when I get home. This pain is really bad, but I thought it would go away; it has been like that for a few days.'”
She continued, “I went back to my room and had three hours before the performance, so I thought, ‘I’m just going to lie down and close my eyes and hope for the best.’ I lay down, closed my eyes and thought, ‘I can’t breathe, this is really bad. Why don’t I take a bath?’ And that made things a hundred times worse.”
“So I got into the bathtub and sat in it for maybe four minutes, and all of a sudden I thought, ‘I have to get out right away,’ because I knew I was going to pass out and I felt like I was going to throw up,” the former Disney star recalled.
“And so I immediately got out and ran to the couch and just lay down. I called my mom and blacked out. And as soon as I finished blacking out, I called my mom and said, ‘Hey, it’s actually really bad. I think I need you to come over here.’
JoJo’s mother Jessalynn rushed to get to her daughter, and because JoJo was in so much pain, she needed her mother’s help to get dressed before emergency services arrived.
The medics did not know what was wrong with the man Famous big brother 2025 star after ‘they took vitals’ – which ‘was normal’.
JoJo then told her fans in the health update video: “[One in hospital]we said [to doctors]“Look, if something is like us, obviously we need emergency surgery, wrong or something. There are other options, of course, but there are a lot of people at the Mall of America waiting and counting on this performance.”
After the “painkillers started working”, JoJo felt better and “danced” in her “hospital bed” before an ultrasound revealed that the cyst had “bursted and was bleeding into my stomach”.
Doctors told JoJo Siwa that the problem should “resolve itself,” the star – who was given “great peace of mind” after being told about her burst cyst – returned to the Mall of America to perform for her fans.
