Josh Hartnett was involved last week in a car accident in St. John’s while filming his upcoming Netflix Limited series, according to a report from CBC.
The actor was a passenger in a vehicle that collided on Thursday with a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Patrol Car.
Both Hartnett and the driver were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but the police confirmed that neither of them were sustained. The officer in the police car was also checked in the hospital.
The representative of Hartnett, Susan Patricola, shared that the actor was being investigated and released the same day, came home and was back at work shortly thereafter.
The production on the series was not interrupted by the incident. Specific details about how the crash took place have not been announced.
The Six episode Limited series, still without title, films on location in Newfoundland and has Hartnett as well as both Ster and executive producer.
The story follows a fisherman who is forced to defend his family, community and way of life when a mysterious marine animal threatens a remote city.
Hartnett recently made a strong return to the spotlights with roles in the Oscar-winning OPPENHEIMERthe Mirror episode Out of the seaand the films Fall And Fighting or fleeing.
He is also ready to shine Truth Next to Anne Hathaway.
