Bianca Censori has confirmed that her connection with Kanye West started when he was still married to Kim Kardashian.
Censori made the claim in a candid interview with Vanity fairpublished Friday, revealing that West first contacted her after seeing a piece of her work on Instagram.
Censori revealed that it was the rapper’s general manager who first contacted her after West came across a post featuring a “digital mask of alien proportions.”
Censori worked as an architectural designer at the time. She and West later met in Switzerland during the COVID-19 pandemic, where their professional relationship deepened. She soon joined Yeezy as head of architecture, resulting in the two working closely and continuously.
Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021 after almost seven years of marriage and four children together. The magazine noted that the romantic bond between West and Censori developed around the same period.
Censori also said that their bond only grew because they spent so much time together. “You spend so much time with someone,” she said, remembering how they were together or on the phone almost all the time. “You should see it. We look so alike.”
The couple married in December 2022, just a month after West finalized his divorce from Kardashian.
Responding to speculation about her motives, Censori pushed back decisively. “I didn’t marry my husband because I wanted some kind of platform,” she said. “I married him because I love him.”
