Kanye West to reunite with famous rapper for new music

Kanye West & The Game reunite for collaboration

Twenty years ago, Kanye West released a song called Crack music. In this song, The Game was going to add his verses, but he left without recording.

Now he reunites with Ye to make a version of the song, which he calls Crack music 2, for his first Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama.

“[It’s called] “Crack Music 2,” he further shares Real 92.3 LA’s The Cruz Show. “[With the original song]Ye called me to the studio and I curled up. He wanted me to do a verse and get hooked, but I had some hot stuff in the car, so I was like, ‘That’s that crack music, n-gga!’ and I left.”

But in response to popular demand, the Compton rapper adds, “But the fans always said, man, you should have put a verse on ‘Crack Music,’ so we remade it.”

The track is part of his debut Gangsta Grillz mixtape, titled Every movie needs a trailer. Plus, Mike & Keys produced it.

“It’s gonna be good, man,” he says, adding, “It’s my first time doing a Gangsta Grillz. [DJ Drama and I] I’ve always talked about it over the years… [We recorded it in] two days. 19 songs from scratch.”

Along with Ye, Mozzy and Jeremih will also be featured on the mixtape, the release date of which The Game announced was November 28.

But it didn’t happen on that date and it’s unclear when it will come. What is confirmed, however, is that the mixtape serves as a springboard for his highly anticipated album, The documentary 3, which will be released in 2026.
