Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has suffered another blow amid an already deteriorating image.
His highly anticipated show scheduled for November 29 in São Paulo, Brazil, has been officially canceled after weeks of uncertainty.
The Bully The singer first announced the concert on Instagram on July 1, writing “Ye Live in Brasil.” Fans have been eagerly awaiting updates since then, especially as doubts grew over whether he would actually take the stage.
Those concerns increased when the original venue, Interlagos Race Circuit, terminated its agreement in October 2025. Furthermore, the mayor of São Paulo later stated that the city would not provide a public space for the performance.
Adding to the chaos, the São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s Office warned that the controversial rapper could be immediately arrested if he sang songs, made comments or showed images apologizing for or promoting Nazism.
As problems with the venue piled up with legal warnings, fans wondered whether the concert would go ahead. Days before the scheduled date, many comments flooded Ye’s Instagram, begging him not to cancel, only to receive a devastating update: the show had already been scrapped.
On Thursday, November 20, organizers released an official statement confirming the cancellation and explaining that they were unable to secure any viable locations.
“It is with great regret that we announce that the concert of artist Kanye West (YE), scheduled for November 29, 2025 in São Paulo, will not take place,” they said. “Unfortunately, the permission to use the Interlagos circuit has been unilaterally withdrawn by the public administration, which completely escapes our sphere of performance.”
The teams added that despite their efforts to meet the 48-year-old’s extensive demands and high production costs, conditions made it impossible to stage the event.
“In addition to the cancellation of the covering contract, it became clear in recent weeks that the environment and political will would not allow the spectacle to take place in this municipality, leaving us with no other alternative,” the statement continued.
Despite the setback, organizers encouraged fans not to lose hope and promised that they would continue trying to bring Ye’s show to Brazil.
Ticket holders were told that their current passes would remain valid for a future date, while those wanting a refund could request one.
