Kat Dennings isn’t here Avengers: Doomsday, as far as she knows.
Dennings recently revealed that while she hasn’t reprized her role for the upcoming film, Marvel Studios has previously scanned her and can put her in any film they want.
The Two bankrupt girls star played Natalie Portman’s boyfriend Darcy Lewis in the Thor movies.
“I am in the universe and as you know I cannot tell you anything but I am not there [Doomsday]”, she said Entertainment tonight. “I mean, I’m not in it. And I’m telling you right now, I’m not in it. If I was in it, which I’m not, I couldn’t tell you, but I literally am not. I’m sure they already filmed it. I was here, I’m not in it.”
She added, “But they did scan me, so to be honest, they could put me in whatever they wanted at this point. Who knows? I’m in the system!’
Hollywood studios now routinely scan actors to use their likenesses, created by AI, in films.
This is because many actors and filmmakers are speaking out against the use of AI likenesses in films.
Meanwhile, Marvel has released several teasers for Avengers: Doomsdaywith a cast including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal and the rest of the cast Fantastic Four cast, as well as the X Men.
