The separation of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban seems to take a dramatic turn, just a few days after the Oscar winner has applied for a divorce, because it may have already moved.
Kidman, 58, officially submitted paperwork on September 30 and ended her 19-year marriage to the country singer.
While she quoted irreconcilable differences and mentioned the date of divorce as the day she has submitted, a source close to the actress says that the decision weighed heavily on her.
“Nicole is pain and feels betrayed,” said the insider PEOPLE.
“She wanted to save their marriage and believed she could, but it seems that he has already gone further.”
The divorce documents have also drawn up a detailed education plan for the daughters of the couple, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
According to the agreement, Kidman will have the girls 306 days a year, while Urban will spend 59 days with them. Both stars will share the responsibility for major decisions about their children, and neither will pay child benefit.
The submission further states that none of the parents can speak badly about the other and that both have to attend a parenting meminar within 60 days.
Interestingly, the parenting plan was signed before the official split, Kidman on 6 September and Urban on 29 August, suggesting that the scheme was arranged weeks earlier.
While sources close to Kidman say that she fought to keep the marriage intact, others suggest in the circle of Urban that he has already started to continue.
One source said that he “had just undergone some things,” while another added that he has been making questionable choices for a while. ”
For friends of the singer, however, the divorce did not come as a shock. As an insider explained: “This has felt more like a gradual drift than a large shocking break.”
The couple, which was last photographed together at an event in Nashville in June, had just celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary that same month when Kidman shared a tribute on Instagram.
Now, just a few months later, their marriage has ended, with Kidman still staggering and apparently ready to continue.
