Kim Kardashian recently opened up about using her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s money while opening their Dash boutique in 2006.
During her new 11-lesson series on MasterClass, the 45-year-old American media personality and socialite shared some tips and revealed “how she took bold risks and built billion-dollar brands.”
According to Page sixKim dated back to 2006, when she and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney launched the Dashed boutique in Calabasas, California, which later became a fixture in the early seasons of their hit E! reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians.
The SKIMS The founder then recalled the financial challenges they faced in setting up their family business, which led them to use “the entire inventory” on a credit card in her eldest sister’s name.
“We were able to get a credit card, at first solely in Kourtney’s name because she had the best credit,” she said, recalling that she and her sisters had no history of “paying back vendors on time” and for that reason “they had to pay everything up front.”
“We paid exactly the minimum every month when the credit card bill came. This is probably the worst advice because you should probably pay off your credit card bill, but we just didn’t have the money,” Kim said.
