Kim Kardashian shares one regret she wishes had not happened

Kim Kardashian explains the Elephant Birkin bag controversy

Last November, Kim Kardashian wore a Birkin bag, which appeared to be made of elephant skin.

It sparked outrage among animal rights activists who say the bag – once made by Hermès – is allegedly linked to animal cruelty.

At first, the Skims mogul remained silent mainly for two reasons: she felt overwhelmed by negative reactions, but at the same time was under fire for her show. Everything is fair.

But now, looking back on the incident, she says she should have responded to the controversy sooner, and regrets not doing so.

“I brought a lot of my bags with me to film All’s Fair, but then we brought a bunch of others that we would leave on set that we could leave there and grab if we ever needed one for a specific outfit,” the mother of four tells her sister Khloé on the Wonder Land podcast.

However, the bag that caused a stir, Kardashian confirms, was fake and she used it as a prop in her bag. Everything is fair.

“I brought a lot of my bags with me to film All’s Fair, but afterward we brought a bunch of others that we would leave on set that we could leave there and grab if we ever needed one for a specific outfit.”

It’s worth noting that Hermès, according to PETA, an animal rights group, once made bags from elephant skins that were “reportedly shot during a safari in the 1980s.”
