Kim Kardashian’s failed law exam leads to online debate: ‘Do it effectively’

Kim Kardashian has confirmed that she failed the California State Bar exam and shared the update directly with fans via an eight-minute video montage on Instagram.

The footage charts her months of preparation as she continues her non-traditional path to becoming a lawyer.

Kim said she dedicated “four months straight” to studying and “quit all work” to focus solely on the exam. “I don’t really do anything other than be a mom and study,” she explained in the video, in which she takes notes, fills whiteboards and works late on her laptop.

Although she didn’t pass, she told viewers that she plans to keep going until she succeeds.

Her announcement quickly sparked discussion on social platforms. While responses varied, many users questioned her research approach and self-confidence prior to the test.

One Reddit commenter wrote, “I get the honest impression that because Kim hasn’t had much schooling, she hasn’t learned how to study and do it effectively.”

Another added, “Seems like she’s been a little too confident lately. I would never in a million years say I would be certified as a lawyer anytime soon… until I knew my results.”

Others pointed out the requirements for taking the bar without having studied law.

One user commented, “Her ‘hard work’ is hardly the bare minimum in law school,” while another commented on age-related challenges, saying, “Learning and remembering new things at her age is MUCH harder than the average college age.”

Still, some recognized the difficulty of balancing parenting, business and bar prep. Kim ended her video by confirming that she would try again, underscoring that her legal journey – however unconventional – is still ongoing.
