Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS flagship store in West Hollywood was hit by graffiti on Monday morning, just weeks after the brand was valued at $5 billion.
The outside walls were painted with texts such as ‘Kimmy Bread’, ‘we need that’ and various obscure markings.
According to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station, officers learned of the vandalism around 5 a.m. when a bystander alerted police. The suspect, an as yet unknown man, was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of vandalism.
Authorities believe the damage exceeded $400, making it a criminal offense. The graffiti was quickly removed and the store opened as scheduled at 10 a.m
Kardashian founded SKIMS in 2019 with married couple, Jens Grede and Emma Grede. The shapewear and loungewear brand won Amazon Fashion’s first Innovation Award at the 2022 CFDA Awards.
SKIMS recently raised $225 million, raising its value to $5 billion and pushing Kardashian’s estimated net worth to $1.7 billion.
The brand is also expanding into beauty following the June closure of Kardashian’s previous skincare line, SKKN BY KIM.
