Russell Simmons is breaking his silence on Kimora Lee Simmons’ recent comments that she doesn’t have a “relationship” with her children’s fathers.
Kimora’s 68-year-old former partner clapped back at the model-turned-fashion mogul, saying: “There are two sides to every story.”
Russell used his Threads account on December 14 to respond to Kimora’s claim. He began, “I gave you $50,000 a month for twenty years.”
“I was your best/only friend. I’m the godfather of your other three children, until one day you stole my shares.”
He continued, “Since then, I have fought for the love of my children and my livelihood.”
“You threatened that if I sued you, I would never talk to my children again. There are two sides to every story,” he alleged.
This came after Kimora made the comment in a recent interview with Peoplefurther noting that she needed a “village” of “friends and family and people” to raise her children.
“Usually I would say I co-parent, okay, but the kids are with me full-time. I’m pretty much the primary parent. It’s hard, but I don’t know what other people are thinking sometimes. Boys are weird,” she added at the time.
It is pertinent to mention that Kimora shares two daughters with Simmons, 25-year-old Ming Lee and 23-year-old Aoki Lee. The former couple tied the knot in 1998 and separated in 2006.
Kimora is also mother to two more children: son Kenzo Lee, 16, whom she shares with actor Djimon Hounsou and 10-year-old son Wolfe Lee with former investment banker Tim Leissner.
