Kristen Bell recently made a shocking confession about her depression at the request of her husband Dax Shepard.
The Veronica Mars star spoke about the challenges of 12 years of marriage to Dax in a new interview with Red magazine.
Kristen revealed how Dax encouraged her to speak publicly about her dark moments in life.
“I realized that I had spent so many years presenting this optimistic, cheerful person and I knew there was a heavy feeling coming over me,” the 45-year-old said.
The forgotten Sarah Marshall actress confessed that she opened up about her depression and that the “feedback” she received was “amazing”.
“I kept talking about it because there are times, with no circumstances changing in my life, when my brain will say, ‘Today you’re awful and no one likes you. Don’t get out of bed,'” Kristen explains.
No one wants this actress continued, “And it’s hard to pull myself out of that.”
Looking back on hard times, Kristen talked about her lines from Frozen 2.
“Do the next right thing. And the next right thing is often pouring my coffee. The next right thing is brushing my teeth and then going downstairs to make breakfast,” she said.
Kristen told the outlet, “It’s one step at a time.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the House of Lies actress pointed out how exercise helped improve her mood.
“I have weights in a few places around my house and when I walk by I do some reps,” Kristen noted.
The Good Place actress went on to say, “Dax always says I should write a book called Getting In Shape 60 Seconds At A Time.”
Meanwhile, Kristen is currently busy promoting season two of Nobody Wants This alongside Adam Brody.
