Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has sparked fresh speculation when her messages were suddenly delivered to his phone more than a week after his disappearance.
Andrews has been missing for more than a week after reportedly losing contact with friends and family. Reports said he had turned off his phone, turned off his location services and stopped responding to messages, worrying those around him, including Price.
The situation became even more confusing this weekend after reports emerged that Andrews had been arrested in Dubai. However, Katie denied these claims and insisted he was quite kidnapped as he saw his hands tied with cable wires when he managed to Facetime her.
Recent reports say Andrews had been hiding out in a ‘slightly run-down villa’ and was reportedly using a burner phone to stay in touch with a small group of trusted contacts. Although his family claimed they were unable to reach him, a new development suggested that one of his devices may now be active again.
A source said The sun that messages previously sent to Andrews had suddenly switched from a single tap to a double tap on Sunday morning, indicating the phone had been turned back on and reconnected. The source added that Andrews reportedly owns several phones, but this particular device now appears to be in use.
Questions were also raised about Andrews’ recent social media activities. On Saturday, users noticed that he had followed an American woman named Mari Sol on Instagram. Previously, Andrews had reportedly only followed Katie Price on the platform.
Mari Sol describes herself online as a motorcyclist, Navy veteran and travel enthusiast. She later said she had never spoken to Andrews and did not know who he was before she blocked him.
The incident is said to upset Price, who previously believed Andrews was in serious danger. Sources claimed she was angry and confused after seeing his online activities, while fears for his safety remained unresolved.
On the other hand, Andrews’ father, Peter, told it Daily mail that his son was alive and arrested in Dubai on an unknown charge.
