Titanic is an evergreen film praised by many, but Leonardo DiCaprio, who rose to fame in the role of Jack Dawson, never rewatched the award-winning film.
He shares this insight, which might come as a shock to some fans of the romantic drama, in an interview with Jennifer Lawrence Variety.
“Have you rewatched Titanic?” asks the actress who co-starred with him in Don’t Look Up. In short, the Oscar winner answers: “No. I haven’t seen it before.”
His response prompts Jennifer to urge him: Oh, you should. I bet you can watch it now, it’s that good.”
But The Wolf of Wall Street star supposedly has a rule: never watch his own films. As he describes, “I don’t really watch my movies, do you?” But the Die My Love star was adamant. ‘No. I’ve never done anything like the Titanic before; If I did, I would watch it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the 35-year-old recalls an anecdote in which he accidentally took an Ambien while filming The Hunger Games: the flaming fire. “I also took an Ambien in the morning because I thought it was something else,” she continues.
“It was a dance scene with Philip Seymour Hoffman in the second ‘Hunger Games’ movie. I was hallucinating. Elizabeth Banks got very irritated with me,” Jennifer concludes.
