Alison Sudol, known for her playing Queenie in the Fantastic Beasts films revealed the emotional struggles she faced after her breakup with David Harbour.
The 40-year-old said she felt “confused, adrift and mentally unraveled” during the final months of their relationship in early 2019 while living in New York.
Alison posted a photo of herself lying in bed and explained that although she had carefully decorated her apartment, it didn’t feel like home.
“I had picked out almost every item in it, but it didn’t feel like home.
I was like grief going back and forth,” Alison wrote.
The star also admitted that she struggled to understand her feelings and tried to fix herself, even though she could not change the situation.
However, Alison dated David for a year before confirming his relationship with singer Lily Allen.
Looking back, Dumbledore’s Secrets Star said the experience taught her to be careful about who she lets into her life and helped her rebuild her sense of self over the next six years.
Her post received support from Lily, who left a red heart emoji. The singer and songwriter recently released her album West End girl, sharing her own painful experiences with David, including discovering his affair.
Now in a long-term relationship with actor Tom Cullen and a mother of two daughters, Alison described her path to healing.
“No arrows in the back. No standing on heads. Just folding laundry while laughing,” she said, showing how she has found peace and happiness after a difficult chapter in her life.
For those not in the know, David Harbor’s reps did not comment on Alison’s post.
